Leaving Town

Had to leave town for a couple weeks. I always get a sinking feeling in my stomach when I leave Provincetown.

BBQ

A friend gave me a big bag of oysters so I bought some steaks and had a BBQ to test out the home made grill. It works great.

Kemp Cottage

Haven't done a post for some time do to the fact that I've been busy turning an old run down cottage into my home for the summer. It was originally built for Harry Kemp by his friends as a birthday present. Harry was a poet and author who lived a lot of his life in a shack on the dunes. He was known as the "Tramp Poet" or the "Poet of the Dunes".

Big Mischa

I miss the charm, elegance and humor of my Grandfather, Mischa Richter. This is one of my favorite cartoons he did and a photo he took of my uncle Tom at low tide in Provincetown bay.

Strippin Bud

A bit low on cash so I've been stripping a roof in Dennis for my buddy's construction company. Really hard work and the owner of the house watches you work all day, I guess he wants his money worth. He says he wants to learn but there ain't much to it, you tear off the shingles until there ain't no more. I've never thought about Dennis much so I started to read about it and I found this fable.
